Le Fangourin (Beau Plan, Pamplemousses) –located within the interactive museum L’Aventure du Sucre, Le Fangourin lies in a delightful setting, tucked away in the midst of the Beau Plan Estate, with magnificent views from its veranda across lush, tropical countryside leading in the distance to Pieter Both Mountain. The cuisine is refined and incorporates island flavors in dishes such as traditionally smoked marlin, Mauritian Sea-bream, and Lobster salad. There are also some delicious house-made desserts featuring the famous special sugars, including Crème brûlée with fresh vanilla, Dark chocolate fondant with a hint of molasses, white chocolate parfait and selection of our traditional sherbets.

A variety of dishes – from French to local – is served here in a romantic setting. The restaurant’s colonial manor décor and backdrop are a hit with couples.

Le Bois Chéri Restaurant (Bois Cheri, Savanne) – located 45 minutes (40 km.) south of Port Louis, this restaurant exists alongside the Bois Chéri Tea Museum. It is only open for lunch.
Gin’ja

Gin’ja (Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, B9 Coastal Road, Bel Ombre) – located within this resort, this seaside restaurant offers a variety of pan-Asian dishes. In addition, foie gras, wagyu beef and king prawns are grilled on the ‘Teppan’ in a unique culinary art. With mellow wood tones, black painted walls and subdued lighting, diners can sit around the open teppanyaki hotplate grill watching the chefs in action.
Domaine Anna Restaurant

Domaine Anna Restaurant (Médine, Flic en Flac) – this restaurant, located within the Flic en Flac beach area, serves a variety of Chinese & seafood dishes. The regular contingent of Chinese diners attests to this restaurant’s culinary credibility. Food can be served in the main area of the restaurant but also under the specially built veranda or finally in the garden under the typical kiosks above the ponds. At night the reflections of the torches that shimmer in the water exhale a magical and unique atmosphere in Mauritius. On Friday and Saturday nights, music is played by talented local artists who entertain the guests.

Chez Tino’s (Royal Road, Trou d’Eau Douce) – located in the eastern part of the island, this nautical-themed restaurant serves mainly reasonably-priced creole-Mauritian dishes. Its specialty is Mauritian Paella.

Chez Tante Athalie (Mon Repos, Route Royale, Pamplemousses) – located within an old sugar plantation (10 minutes via car from the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens), this restaurant offers patrons a prix fixe creole menu. Visitors can also marvel at the vintage cars on site. Note: only lunch is served here (from Noon to 3 pm / Monday – Saturday).
Café Müller

Café Müller (B13, Royal Road, Grand Baie) — this German cafe offers a variety of good, strong coffees as well as some tasty cakes and pastries (such as homemade chocolate and cheese cake, and apfelstrudel) to accompany them. It is also a great place for brunch food (crepes, omelettes and sandwiches).
